What is Maximum Bidding? |

Maximum bidding allows you to submit your best offer and on your behalf the system will automatically outbid other bids (by $100 increments) until such time your maximum bid is surpassed.
Your maximum bid is NOT REVEALED UNLESS another max bid is made at the same price, for which you will own the bid as first bidder.
If your maximum bid is outbid you will be notified by email.
You can raise your Maximum bid however if you are the leading bid it will automatically lift your current bid by $100.

Save you time, as it reduces the work required to track progress and enter bids versus minimum bid technology.
Preventing you losing to another bidder in the closing minutes.
Allow the bidder to buy below their maximum bid.
However Maximum bidding DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOU WILL BE THE FINAL BIDDER. To maximise this risk it is IMPORTANT to monitor your emails and bidding screens.

Starting Bid is $1000, you enter max bid of $2000, and system will automatically bid for you at $1100. Another bid is entered at $1300, system will automatically bid for you at $1400. If no one else bids you will win the item for $1400.
Obviously if a max bid is entered greater than your $2000 the bid will go to someone else at $2100.

How do I find the results of an auction? |

Use your My Area page to track the status of your bids. You will also get email notification when an auction expires and any reserve price has been met. |

In the My Area page, some item bids are red -- why? |
| |
Items appear in red when someone has out-bid your highest bid. You need to up your bid else lose the item! |

Can I retract my bid? |
| |
No. A bidder cannot retract a bid. |
